Hi @Lolo662,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue connecting your HP Neverstop Laser 1001nw to the new Wi-Fi network after a password change, follow these steps:

Method 1: Using HP Smart App

Download HP Smart App:

  • If you haven't already, download and install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer from the appropriate app store or the HP website.

Open HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app and sign in if required.

Add Printer:

  • If your printer is already listed, remove it first.
  • Click on “Add Printer” or the plus sign.

Follow Setup Instructions:

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to detect the printer. The app will guide you through connecting the printer to the new Wi-Fi network. Make sure the printer is in a location with a good Wi-Fi signal.

Method 2: Using WPS Button

Locate WPS Button:

  • Find the WPS button on your router. Usually, it’s a physical button on the device.

Enable WPS on Printer:

  • Turn on the printer.
  • Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until the wireless light starts blinking.
  • Press the WPS button on your router within two minutes.

Connection:

  • The wireless light on the printer should stop blinking and stay solid, indicating a successful connection.

Method 3: Using Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Connect to Printer Directly:

  • Connect your computer or mobile device directly to the printer's Wi-Fi Direct network. The default name should be something like "DIRECT-xx-HP Neverstop Laser 1001nw".

Access EWS:

  • Open a web browser and type the printer’s IP address (usually 192.168.223.1 for Wi-Fi Direct).

Log In:

  • Log in to the EWS. The default login credentials might be blank or "admin".

Network Settings:

  • Navigate to the Network or Wireless settings section.
  • Enter the new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
  • Save the settings and disconnect from the Wi-Fi Direct network.

Method 4: Using Printer Control Panel (if applicable)

Navigate to Wireless Settings:

  • Use the printer’s control panel to navigate to the Wireless or Network settings.

Select Wi-Fi Network:

  • Select your new Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.

Enter Password:

  • Enter the new Wi-Fi password and confirm.

Connection Confirmation:

  • The printer should connect to the new Wi-Fi network. The wireless light will stay solid once connected.

Additional Tips

Ensure Network Compatibility:

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi network is compatible with the printer. The HP Neverstop Laser 1001nw typically supports 2.4 GHz networks.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both your router and printer if the connection fails initially.

Firmware Update:

  • Ensure the printer firmware is up to date for the best compatibility with your network.
