Hi @Brian7306,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you've recently changed your router and are having difficulty reconnecting your HP printer to the Wi-Fi network, here are some steps to help you get back online:

Restart Devices

  1. Turn off and on devices: Restart both the printer and your computer or mobile device.

  2. Restart the router: If your printer was set up on a network wirelessly, ensure you restart the router to clear any error states.

Wi-Fi Connection Setup

For effective reconnection after a router change, ensure that your printer is within range and that the network settings on the printer are updated. Here’s how:

Place the Printer Near the Router:

  • Ensure the printer is within 8 meters (approximately 26 feet) of the router to maintain a strong connection.

Check Wireless Settings:

  • On the printer, access the Wireless Settings menu to ensure that the Wireless light is solid blue, indicating that it is connected to your Wi-Fi. If not, go back to the Wi-Fi setup.

Wi-Fi Setup Wizard:

  • From the printer’s control panel, access the Wireless menu.

  • Use the Wireless Setup Wizard to reselect your network and enter the new password if prompted.

Use the HP App

Download the HP App:

  • Download and install the HP  app from 123.hp.com if you haven’t done so already.

Add Your Printer:

  • Open the app, select “Add Printer,” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the network setup.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
