Hi @elpyca,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Officejet 4620e printer is displaying the message "Wireless communication has been disabled," you can follow these steps to troubleshoot and enable wireless communication.

Check Wireless Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is within the range of your wireless network.
  • Check if the wireless signal is stable in the location where your printer is placed.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Allow the printer to go through its startup process.

Check Wireless Settings on the Printer:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings or setup menu.
  • Ensure that the wireless option is enabled.

Verify Wi-Fi Direct Status:

  • Some printers have Wi-Fi Direct capabilities. Ensure that Wi-Fi Direct is not enabled unless you specifically intend to use it.

Check for Physical Wireless Button:

  • Some printers have a physical button or switch to enable or disable wireless communication. Check your printer's manual to locate and verify the status of such a button.

Reconfigure Wireless Settings:

  • If the above steps don't resolve the issue, you may need to reconfigure the wireless settings on the printer.
  • Navigate to the wireless setup wizard on the printer's control panel and follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect to your wireless network.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Check the HP support website for firmware updates specific to your printer model.

Check Wireless Router:

  • Make sure your wireless router is working correctly and that other devices can connect to it.
  • Restart your wireless router.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
