Called HP Support. Problem solved after 2 1/2 hours. First support agent deserted me after about an hour. Second agent Percy was great. Problem solved.

I'm having this same issue now on a hp9025.  Still can't find a resolution.  Anyone know anything aside from calling HP customer support and sitting on the phone for 2 1/2 hours?  Any assistance is appreciated.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I understand that your experiencing a connectivity issue with the HP printer. To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • When was the last time it worked fine?
  • What are the troubleshooting steps you have tried so far?
  • Are you able to make copies from the printer?
  • What seems to be the exact issue with your HP Product today?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

@echo_lake what is the resolution to this issue? I am using MacOS. My HP Office Jet Pro 9015 no longer shows the wireless icon on the touchscreen and no blue light. In settings it says wireless has been disabled but I am not able to turn it on. It was working fine until 1 week ago. I have tried restoring factory settings, restarting my network and computer. Nothing.

Hi @kevints00,

I'd like to help!

I understand the wireless is disabled on the printer.

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks @jay_G24. I ended up calling support and after about 90 minutes, we were able to solve the issue. We had to update the firmware, but to do that, we needed to try 2 different levels of factory resets. We still couldn't figure out WHY the wireless had become suddenly disable in the first place, but at least it is now resolved. Thanks!
