Hi @Dane50

If you're unable to see a wireless icon or connect your HP Color LaserJet MFP M480 printer to your computer wirelessly, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check Printer's Wireless Capability:

    • Ensure that your printer model supports wireless networking. Some printers might not have wireless capabilities.
  2. Ensure Wi-Fi is Enabled on Printer:

    • Access the printer’s control panel and navigate to the Wi-Fi settings. Ensure that the wireless feature is turned on.
  3. Connect to the Correct Wi-Fi Network:

    • Make sure that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. If the printer cannot connect to Wi-Fi, check the network name (SSID) and password.
  4. Use Wireless Setup Wizard:

    • Go to the printer’s control panel and select the Wireless Setup Wizard. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
  5. Install Wireless Drivers:

    • Ensure you have installed the correct drivers and software for wireless connectivity. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website.
  6. Check for Firmware Updates:

    • Verify that the printer has the latest firmware installed, as updates can improve connectivity issues.
  7. Restart All Devices:

    • Restart your printer, router, and computer to reset any temporary network glitches.
  8. Check Network Settings on Computer:

    • Ensure that the computer’s Wi-Fi is functioning correctly and is not in airplane mode. Check the network settings to ensure connectivity.
  9. Enable Wireless Direct:

    • If your printer supports HP Wireless Direct, you can try connecting directly using this feature. This creates a peer-to-peer connection without needing Wi-Fi.
  10. Check Router Settings:

    • Ensure your router supports the necessary wireless protocols and that there are no firewall settings blocking the communication.

I hope this helps!
