won't print document

HP Recommended
Photosmart 6525
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Photosmart 6525. I can print a test page from the printer, and it's just fine. I can print a windows printer test page from the laptop, and it prints. If I try to print a word document, the page comes out blank. If I try to copy something, it also comes out blank. I am using Windows 10.

Thanks for your help!!

@Nikki62

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

If the issue persists using a different wall outlet, partially lift the scanner lid, and then press the Copy button or icon. If the scanner light does not illuminate or move across the glass, it could be a hardware issue.

Let us know.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accept as solution" button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!
