Very often when I print j8160 A4 Avery labels on my Envy 5530 printer, even though I set the paper grade to a thicker paper such as "HP matte presentation or other matte paper" then "labels", the label sheet often scrunches up & jams in the printer, and I’ve been unable to find a solution for this. Surely I'm not the only person that uses the same printer for labels, and has problems?
I print out loads of labels and it's very frustrating to have to throw out as many ruined sheets of labels as I've had to (they're certainly not cheap) - once they’ve been scrunched up they won’t go through the printer again without getting stuck

Hi @welsh-ratbag,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're unable to print your A4 Avery Label without it wrinkling the paper. I would be happy to help you and please remember to return to this thread and mark 'Accept as Solution', if I have successfully helped you resolve the issue.

Hi Drakster
Thank you very much for your reply to my problem, although I’m not sure that it is the solution that will solve it. I already have the paper size set to A4 (go to properties - paper / quality - layout - advanced - paper / output - paper size = A4), and when the labels do print out successfully, the spacing, margins etc are exactly as they appear on my monitor. Also, the paper does more than wrinkle - it completely scrunches and I have to open the printer, remove the spring clip cover and take the label sheet out, but then I can’t straighten it out enough to use again so it’s wasted
On my previous printers, I could set the paper quality to card or similarly thick paper and never had a problem printing out labels, but this HP Envy 5530 just doesn’t appear to have the same facility, unless I just don’t recognise the setting I should be using. I have tried the speciality paper and matte presentation paper settings, thinking these papers might be a bit thicker than the normal 70/80gsm, so I’ll have to put my thinking cap back on or hope that someone out there has encountered this problem and worked out a solution that they’d be happy to share with me!
Thank you again - take care....
