I have Wireless Connection - Printer stopped printing in middle of print job, Error message says "Black Cartridge Problem"
I've taken out the cartridge and put back in several times but still get the same error message. The cartridge is not empty.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer - J610a and it stopped printing in the middle of a print job. An error message appeared saying that "Black Cartridge Problem." You have reseated the black cartridge several times and the issue persists. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
- Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
- Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
- The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
If the error continues to appear then please perform the steps as described in this link: http://hp.care/2kpS9dQ
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Keep me posted. Good luck! 🙂

Thank you, MKazi for the response. I have taken the steps you listed to no avail and have followed the link to the customer support and have followed all the steps listed there as well, the problem still exists with the black cartridge. I have also tried to print in backup mode with only one cartridge installed as shown on the support page but get a No Toner Status. I do appreciate your help, sadly for me, I guess it's time to replace my printer. The link you directed me to has a convenient check warranty website link. Though my warranty has unfortunately expired, I love this printer and will replace it with something from HP that is similar. It has been a good printer.

You are welcome. I appreciate you taking your valuable time to troubleshoot. 🙂
If you have already tried replacing the black cartridge and even with the replacement cartridge if the printer doesn't work then it would be a right thing to replace the printer. You may contact HP phone support to explore the printer upgrade options.
It was a privilege to assist you. Keep me posted for any further questions. Take care! 🙂
