I don't see how this will help me print in color from my mobile phone?? Seems like this is a waste of time

@luv4greenleaves, Thanks for your quick response and time.

As you mentioned you don't think that updating drivers will make any difference.

Try downloading and installing Mopria Print Service plugin from play store and check if you are able to print color.

Refer this article to know more about Mopria Print Service plugin.

Let me know if this helps! 🙂

Hi

I'd like piggyback onto this thread as I am having the same issue.

I was successfully printing in color from my Samsung phone until a few weeks ago.

The phone is a Samsung SM-G920A running Android v6.0.1.

The printer is an HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m.

I am able to print in color from my desktop and laptop but updated the driver anyway.

As per your earlier instructions I downloaded Mopria but this printer is not on the compatible device list.

I also downloaded HP AiO but it also only gives the black and white choice.

I had been using HP Print Service Plugin when I was able to print in color so I deleted the app and reinstalled it. It still only offers black and white.

My wife has the same phone AND the same problem.

Thanks for your help.

This is obviously a bug with HP plugin. I'm to the point that I'm going to buy a new printer

Thanks for your response and time.

As you mentioned you are using Officejet 4500 printer but it does not print in color using the print plugin app.

Try downloading HP eprint app from play store and check if you are able to print in color or in black and white.

Refer this article to know how to use HP eprint app.

If the issue still persists, try updating printer firmware and check if it helps.

Let me know if this works!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂

I don't have laptop to be able to update printer firmware

Tried hp eprint and still won't recognize the colour option.

This is a bug with the plugin. HP won't admit it but its there. Unfortunately I don't trust this will get resolved anytime soon. With as cheap printers are today, your best bet is to pick up a brother or Epson. Unfortunately HP was good, but I do not print from a computer anymore. Hell, I don't even have one.

@Jimdaddyo, luv4greenleaves,

Thanks for your quick response and time.

It certainly cannot be app issue since you have tried with three different applications and the issue persists.

It looks to be a problem with your phone try restarting your phone and check if you are able to print.

Or try performing a factory reset on your PC and let me know if this works.

I'll keep an eye out for your response.

I hope you have a great day! 🙂
