I'm thinking it's the printer as the hp print app talks the the printer and the printer responds with an information message ,when I open it shows colour not supported.

Until the plugin is updated this problem will continue. Question is will HP acknowledge this and fix it??? Thus far they just keep trying to make people do random things that will not work. Like I said earlier, your easiest and quickest bet will probably be to buy a new printer with as cheap as they have become.

I don't understand why this would start happening all of a sudden. It was working fine before... MrRobot Have you tried duplicating the problem?
What do you mean by: "Or try performing a factory reset on your PC and let me know if this works."
Again, I can print fine from my desktop. The problem only occurs when using my phone to print.

Hi @Jimdaddyo, @luv4greenleaves, I am the Jeet_singh. It looks like you were interacting with @A4Apollo, but he is out of the office today so I'll take over from here.
Thanks for the update,
I appreciate your time and efforts,
I also think that this could be an issue with the plugin, don't worry as I have a few other suggestions which should help.
Let's try these alternative mobile printing solutions such as google cloud printing and ePrint. Please follow these links below:

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes for further assistance.

Hi @Jimdaddyo, @luv4greenleaves,,
Thanks for the update,
As I understand you tried the steps suggested and still having the issue printing in colour. Don't worry let's try these steps here:
Google cloud does not require any plugin, so let's try to uninstall all the plugin and other HP print apps and then only use the google cloud printing and check how it goes.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you.

All,
I believe I have confirmed that is is the HP Print Service Plugin. More specifically, that it was broken in a recent update.
I turned on one of my older android phones, and it was able to print in color with no problems. I checked the plugin version, and it was 2.14-2.1.2-12b-16.3.15-102.
I then went to the play store to check for an update, and it found version 3.2.1-2.2.3-14-16.4.15-122. After installing that updated version, I was no longer able to print in color.
Just to confirm that was the problem, I did the dangerous step of locating an older version of the app on the web (I won't post where I found it), and after installing that, things look to be working again.
Hope this helps!
