I have been making prints of some old black and white pictures. Over the last week or two the black and white prints have become slightly pink. This gives them an almost sepia look, not unpleasing but certainly not correct. This happens no matter which program I use, PaintShop or Windows Gallery or direct copy on the printer. It also happens when i set the printer to just black and white printing, though I just made a black copy which looks bluish. Color prints are fine.
What could be going on?

Hi @TwoEsses
I would like to help you with your C6200 series printer. I understand your black and while photo prints have a tinge of pink to them, and your black copy has a blueish tinge.
Please use the following document to troubleshoot the issue; Wrong Colors.
I hope this helps.

Hi @TwoEsses
Do you have a different photo paper you can try? It sounds like the issue might be caused by the paper.

prints on plain paper are NOT ok. I have hp cartridges and use hp Advanced photo paper which is matched to the ink. The prints are becoming more and more pink. They used to be normal black and white. Could I have a faulty black cartridge? I haven't made any changes to the printer or color settings.

Hi @TwoEsses
It is entirely possible the issue is related tot he cartridge. I suggest calling us. Don't hesitate to call, although the printer may be out of warranty, the cartridges could be in warranty; therefore, there wouldn't likely be a fee for the phone support. We will, at our option, either replace products under warranty that prove to be defective or refund the purchase price.
We could even determine after troubleshooting that it is a problem with the printer, in which case they may offer you a discount on a newer model.
The number to call is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
To find the “Warranty Ends” date, look in the following table for the date's location on each product. The date follows the YYYY/MM/DD or YYYY/MM format, where YYYY indicates the year, MM indicates the month, and DD indicates the day.

Hi @TwoEsses
I suggest calling us and letting whom ever you speak with know that you can not read the date. Maybe they can help you locate the date through the software.
