HP ENVY 4507 Printer
Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

Hello,

Firstly, I just want to express how upset I am with HP for making it so difficult to contact support for an issue once your Warrenty has run out. I went travelling and didnt realise my product was running out, and now I cant even buy more warrenty if I want to. Im worried thats the only way I can solve my issue, or buy a new printer?!

So id been having problems getting the printer to print documents without going 'idle'. Now I have finally got the printer connected and printing documents (after hours), and the black ink all printed out a faint grey then ran out completely.

The colours on the document havent come out right either, but test pages (test print quality) come out in perfect colours but NO black.

Have followed all the steps on the printer to clean, allign, check levels. Nothing..

Have scrawled through forum posts and web searches to fix the issue, have called HP numerous times to sort it but I cant get anywhere as they tell me to do it online, or if I have warrenty which I dont.

So nothing has worked yet and Im getting more and more delayed with my coursework.

Please please help 🙂

Thank you

Imogen

Hello @earth_moon,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums!

I understand that you're experiencing print quality issues. I would be happy to look into this with you and please remember to return to this thread and mark 'Accept as Solution', if I have successfully helped you resolve the issue. If you wish to say 'thanks' for my effort to help, click the 'thumbs up' to give me a Kudos.

Please try the steps within this guide:

How full are the ink levels?

If the issue persists and you get to "Solution five: Identify, and then replace the problem cartridge" send me a private message with your account number or email address and I will look at replacing the defective cartridge for you. Also, confirm that the address on your account is correct.

I look forward to hearing back from you.:)

Hi @Drakster,

Thanks for your reply, I have gone through all of the options listed in the link you sent but still nothing...

Can you please send me a replacement black ink? The levels on both of the cartriges are almost still full.

How do I private message you with my details?

Thanks

Imogen
