Recently there were messages saying ink cartridges were not installed correctly.  I removed them all and re-seated them.  Now I'm getting blank sheets from print and copy commands.

Hi @tiny44,

Good Day. Thanks for posting your query in the HP community. I read the post regarding the printer printing only blank pages. It will be a pleasure to assist you here.

Commendable diagnosis, superb troubleshooting and splendid description of the issue before posting. Hats off you on that score. 🙂

  • Have you replaced the cartridges and checked again?
  • Did you make copies directly from the printer without any communication from the computer?
  • Did you bypass power strips and connect the printer directly to the wall outlet?

For a start please perform a hard reset and perform only step 1. from this document. Then reseat the cartridges.
  • Please make at least 2 copies directly from the printer without any communication from the computer.
  • If it does not copy correctly, check the cartridge ink levels and clean the cartridges and print heads.
  • Try to copy with replacement cartridges and check if it copies correctly.
  • If it still does not copy then please perform all the prescribed steps from this document Color or Black Ink Not Printing Please perform all the steps from this link patiently as it is important to try and resolve the issue.
  • If it still does not fix the issue, then the printer has a hardware issue and needs to be replaced by contacting HP phone support.
  • They will be happy to assist you immediately. If the unit is under warranty repair services is taken care of by the manufacturer’s warranty.
