Hi . Am using MS Office Professional 2007 on Vista with  HP Deskjet F2180 printer. Problem is everytime when printing a word document with page border, the bottom border is not printing. The other borders print okay. Tried adjusting margin and border sizes with no success.  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi HP_User,

I looked at the patch that you mentioned in your post and it says "Print margin accuracy: Resolves issue of last line of text being clipped for HP Deskjet D4200".  So, it looks like the margin fix part of the patch is specifically for the D4200.

Did you try disabling bi-directional support?

I am having a similar printing problem with my HP Photosmart D7460 printer used with Vista on my computer. This doesn't happen all of the time, but enough to be a problem. It even happens when the last line is in the middle of the page. However, I absolutely LOVE this printer. So I am putting up with this issue....

I am having the same problem on a C6280/Vista 64-bit.  Last line cuts off no matter where it is on the page.  Interesting that it's happening on several models.  I'm guessing HP has a general driver issue here.  I'm putting up with it, but the She Who Must Be Obeyed isn't happy.

Apparently this is a common error and occurs also in windows xp.

Aproximately 0.25 inch is not printing, always to the end of the document.

There is any solution from HP tech support?

I´ve a DeskJet F380 All in one, but since 1995 all hp printers that i used show the same behavior.

Regards and blessings.

I am having the same problem. When I contacted HP the tech said Word 2007 was the problem.  As a work around I have found that if I chnage the font color (even move up a shade from black) the doc prints fine.  Not the best solution...but it seems to work for me.

I've had the same problem and read several places of others having this issue.  The bottom of the characters of the last printed line is cut off.  Even if the last line is in the middle of the page.  I see lots of complaints about this issue but no solution from HP.  Apparently this affects multiple models.  I have a C6180.  I've seen the problem attributed to Word 2007 however I did not have this issue printing to a Canon printer.

Hopefully this is moderated by HP, can you tell us if a solution is forthcoming or do we need to buy new printers from another manufacturer.  I'm not trying to be a basher here, I just need some facts so I can make a decision.  Leaving it as it is, is not acceptable.  It produces unprofessional output.  Since this seems to be wide spread, I keep expecting to see a solution show up and have been waiting.  If I need to move on to something else, please let me know.

Hi folks. Thnks for all the feedback. An interesting work-around option that you may want to try.
When changing/selecting page size from 'A4' to 'Letter' in Word 2007, this problem seems to get resolved and the bottom border does actually print out okay (close fit but not exactly spot-on) .
This seems to reflect that the HP printer drivers have an inappropriate configuration or bug for the A4 page and apparently a correct configuration for the Letter size page.
Would be great to receive some feedback from HP on this.

I'm seeing the same problem on my C7180, connected to various Vista machine son my home network.  This is absolutely aggravating and my wife and kids are about to throw the printer out to the street.  Someone at HP needs to at least acknowledge this problem and work on a fix.  I love this printer otherwise, but this kind of problem is just unacceptable.  We'll be shopping for a replacement soon if I can't resolve this, and that means we'll be buying non-HP ink for the next ten years.  Is anyone at HP listening?

I am not form HP staff, but I dont want you to throw away your printer to the street! I had the same problem and found a solution, in Windows, go to Start, to Control Panel, Printers and Faxes, right click your printer, click Printing Preferences, Advanced Tab, under Printer Features set Minimize Margins to On. If there is no such option, search all tabs until you find "Minimize Margins", and check it to "on". Then click apply, and OK. Done! This should resolve your problem, HP is a great make!

I beg to differ. "Minimize Margins" definitely DOES NOT fix this problem in all cases. Neither does a "Letter" vs. an A4 page size. This is just a case of a FUBAR printer driver and we need to either wait for HP to get around to fixing it or else take our business elsewhere.

Problem system description:

C6150 hardwired to a router being driven by a wireless laptop running Windows Vista and Office 2007. AiO system was installed fresh today from HP.com.

Only top half of last line is printed. Current work-around is to add, following the final line of text, a couple additional lines of space characters followed by a final single period.

Come on HP, your customers deserve better than this!
