My CM1312nfi have a strange behaviour.
When I print a file with multiple pages, it almost 99% always show "paper jam" after the first page is printed. The same happens when I have multiple pages fed into the feeder to copy.
I am almost 100% sure it is not feeding problem from the drawer as I have NO problem printing continuously if I have seperated the multiple page file into each page print (i.e. instead of print the multiple-page file in one action, I have it print page by page manually)
As I recall, it doesn't seem to have this problem when I brought this printer, it seems to be happened when I have the latest firmware upgraded (dated 20120104).
For reference, I print mostly A4 and B/W.

Please check to see if the tabs holding your paper in the tray are pushed against the paper. Make sure they aren't pushed up against the paper or holding the paper to tightly.
Also, check to make sure that there is no stray paper in the paper path. If you did have a previous paper jam and had to pull that out, a piece of the paper may still be stuck in the printer.
Here is a document on how to clear paper jams. Please check it out as it talks about the casue of jams, where to look for them, and how to clear them.

I am almost 100% sure there is nothing related to hardware. I can print without paper jam if I print the pages one by one manually even it is sent continuously. Simiply speaking, there is no paper jam problem if printer is printing single-page files continously, but paper jam happens when a multiple-page file is printed. This is the same situation for both printing and copying.
For more information, I print through LAN and mainly A4, B/W. There is never have any problem on printing the first page. Paper Jam always happen when the second paper is starting to be fed. That jammed paper can always left the paper tray and be held on at the paper roller, it just don't keep on feeding into the printer but paper jam shown.

Let me test this today on A4 paper and see if I can reproduce it. However, this may happen when the paper settings in your application or print driver do not match the paper size that you have trying to print on.

Using your specs (LAN, A4, B/W), I tested this with the newest FW this morning and was unable to reproduce this issue as a result of the FW. I tested both a multi page word document and pdf through Adobe.
Couple of things:
1. check to make sure that your blue tab in your paper tray is snug against your paper.
2. make sure that your pick roll is picking your paper up. The first piece of paper make be picking correctly but the issue may be with the next piece of paper. This will then cause the paper jam. If this is happening, then the hardware is the issue.
Again, the FW is not the issue in the case. Your hardware, either the pick roller or the something in the paper path is the issue.

About your points. I am sure I have point 1 done regarding the blue tab.
About point 2, I can only say that once "paper jam" is shown for the second page, when I pull the drawer, that "jammed" paper is held on the "roller", I need to pull it out after the drawer is off. So I believe, the paper should said to be "picked up".
Here I ask, how much difference between these 2 B/W copy process.
1) Place 10 pages into the ADF, and press B/W Copy to start copy all 10 Pages.
2) Place each page into the ADF one by one and press B/W Copy one by one once "copying screen" is gone.
I do have paper jam in case 1 but no problem in case 2. This can eliminate it is related to any PC issue. I personally believe there is something have been done once the print job is finished so it clear the cause which create the 2nd page paper jam problem for multi-page file.
Owing to thatmy belief, here I ask further questions.
a) Is that possible for me to get back those outdated firmware so I can run the printer with old firmware to see whether it is firmware problem?
b) Would that any chance the problem is caused by some wrong settings (especially I have firmware updated before so would there any leftover between firmware version cause the problem)? Is there any way to reset all setting to default (I don't mind to have all those setting re-enter later)?

If the paper jam is happening after a specific number of pages, then it is possible that there is something wrong with your pick roller and it is not completing the feeding of the paper into the paper path, i.e. rubber has degraded, dent, chip, etc. If this is what is happening then the paper will get stuck because the roller is not able to complete a rotation.
This it is not happening when you are only feeding in one page at a time becuase the paper is not hitting that particular area on the roller.
This is a hardware issue not a FW issue so rolling back to an early version of FW will not solve you problem. However, the only version of FW available is what is posted on hp.com.
If you desire to reset your printer to default settings, you will need to go into your printer control panel and do that function. Here are the steps:
Control panel - system setup-service - restore defaults

First of all, "restore defaults" didn't help.
Up to this moment, the only point to convince me it is a pure HW problem is that it seems I am the only one facing this problem. Apart from that, I still believe it is more than just a HW problem.
for me, It is hard to believe there is some particular part within the only paper path which can only be hit by next page on a multiple page file but not by next page from next single page file. Just to be reminded, I have no problem printing any number of single page file during those time I didn't touch the printer at all. That means I haven't done nothing between prints which can cause the difference.
By the way, if it is true I am the only person in this world who have experience such problem, I give up and live with it even it is not solved. As far as it is annoying to have every files print single page at a time, it is still a rigid printer that it still have a long time to run.

You are not the only person in this world!
I have exactly the same problem with my CM1415fn. I have checked all the possible places and cleaned the rollers, nothing helps. Moreover it initializes or calibrates or cleans continuously. I think the only solution is to buy a new printer and that is certainly not the HP product. It's a pity because my printer prints really good colors.
Edit:
I just found another solution. I usually use the 80 g/m² paper but if I use the thicker 100 g/m² paper, then the problem disappears. The downside is that the paper is more expensive and I have to print pretty much on a daily basis. And my printer still initializes and calibrates and cleans continuously even while printing.

I had the same problem. with a CM1312nfi MFP. it will print a few pages the either jams or i get a Msprint. When i clear the jam and press Ok it will print one page and jam again. If i press ok in Msprint it print the last page again the the next and i get the Msprint message again. i can print one page at a time but i am spending my time going back and forth to the printer
