I can confirm the exact same problem on my cm1312 printer. One page prints fine, multiple pages create a paper jam after the first page and every follwing page. This happened after half a year with a very modest usage! Is there any workaround without having to buy a new printer or repair for half the product price? This really seems to be a common problem and due to this a replacement printer will definitely be a non HP product!

After half a year, your MFP should still be in warranty.
There may be a fix for $24.05, HP CP1210/1215/1510/1518 Separation Roller Assembly RM1-4425, available at http://www.feedroller.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=1_17_640_2448_2583&products_id=17593
Instructions for installing are at http://www.feedroller.com/store/Pick-Up-and-Seperation-Roller-Replacement-Steps-for-CM1312-CM2320-CP...
I've ordered the parts and they are in transit. I'll post results after I install them.
Our CM1312nfi worked fine for over four years and 9950 pages before this jamming started. When ours would not pick up paper at all, I followed the instructions in the link above to rotate the roller, then restarted the machine. It would then print again, even a two-page document.

Same exact issue here. It happens from the Mac and OS X Mavericks, Wndows 7, Windows 8. The printer prints the first page, says there is a jam. If you pull the tray out, there is indeed a page that is still left under the printer in the open slot. However, it does not feed by itself. If you pull it out, put it back in the tray, it will feed for 1 more print, after a 3 minute initialization.
However, if you just press the "OK" button, it will also go through the same initialization WITHOUT pulling the tray or the next page and it will STILL print page 2. Then, the next page does the exact same thing. It appears that the printer is detecting a jam when there is truly not a jam. That is what seems to be the issue.

I installed the new part mentioned in my 25-Feb-2014 post, and it seems to have fixed the problem. Multi-page documents print without jamming.
If you do this, look very closely at how the roller fits before you remove it. When it comes loose, it pops out, and you cannot see how it moves out of its position before it is totally out.

As the one starts this thread, I admit I don't like this conclusion as I always think of a firmware problem but it really seems the problem is fixed after those Pickup Rollers have been replaced with new ones. My 1312 seems have no further feeding problem so far. Maybe the feeder use differerent portion of the pickup roller for the first page and the rest so cause such problem.
By the way, thanks Howard, if you don't post the link, I don't think I can get it done even I have those new parts in hand.

Just as a note: The place for the replacement instructions has moved here:
I ordered the part today from HP. Curiously enough, HP only charges some 7,- Euros (incl. tax), which is much cheaper than elsewhere in the net. Make sure to check it out! For me in Germany this is the link:
http://h20141.www2.hp.com/Hpparts/
And the part no to search for is RM1-4425-000CN

For some reason for me, the above link returns:

You don't have permission to access /store/Pick-Up-and-Seperation-Roller-Replacement-Steps-for-CM1312-CM2320-CP1210-CP1510-CP2025.pdf on this server.
I could reach the instructions by going to http://www.feedroller.com/store/hp_step.php and clicking "View" next to "Pick Up and Seperation Roller Replacement CM1312/CM2320/CP1210/CP1510/CP2025", right now, bottom of the first section.

I think I have to say I don't know wether the problem is arisen from just any one of them, I have replaceed both rollers as mentioned in the document. By the way , as I live in Hong Kong, it cost me not that much to order both of them online from Mainland China online shop (the rollers price almost the same as transportation cost). Here is my replacement roller items list.
RM1-4425-000 - the smaller one with metal interior which is made in Japan
RM1-4426-000 - the larger one with pure plastic which is made in China

I had the same problem with my deskjet 2540. I too was convinced that this is not solely a hardware error and that replacing rollers is unnecessary. And I was right. After looking elsewhere I found that the problem is something to do with the IP address of the printer which can be reconfigured but the simplest solution is just to go old school: USE THE USB CONNECTION. Never had a jam since.
Obviously the more long term solution is to get the wifi bit working properly but if you have a large document that needs to be done in a hurry and can't be bothered printing a page at a time then just dig out the USB lead.
