My new printer printed two-sided when I first set it up.  For some reason, it is not doing it now, and I've looked all through the printer Utility but still cannot find how and where to enable two sided printing.  I want that to by part of my default settings. Two-sided capabiity was one of the reasons I picked this printer.  Can you help me?   Thanks

Hi Mindfulinme

Thank you for posting at HP forum. I'm glad to assist you.

I have checked you printer specification and came to know that duplexing is one of functionalities of this printer.

Before going to troubleshoot the Duplex printing issue, ca i request if you can do duplex copy on your printer first?

1. Load 2 sided target on your ADF

2. Select Copy

3. change copy setting and select two sided: 2>2 (2 sided original > 2 sided copy)

4.  Press copy.

5. Check if you can print duplex.

If able to print, it just means that the hardware is working and maybe just that you setting in printing is not correct. You may want to see the video below on how to do duplex printing (though it is for other printer, it will works same as your printer.)

Here is a video to show you how to use 2 sided printing in portrait mode, Short-Edge Binding and Long-Edge Binding and the same with the Landscape mode.
In this video, we will see how to set the two-sided or double sided printing preference for your HP printer that supports duplexing capabilities. Ensure that the printer driver has been installed before setting the preference for two-sided printing. For other helpful videos go to ...

Hello and thanks for your reply.  It SEEMED very straightforward.   BUT... on the printer display, when I find two-sided under Settings, there is no option showing "2 sided to 2 sided.   Only choice is one sided to two sided.  Can't Copy anything two sided right now!  AND, I've looked all through the printer utility and can find anywhere to reset the default settings toi two-sided.  I've spent a lot of time looking, but have come up with zero on this subject.  Should be simple, right?  Can you help me out?  I appreciate it/

Hi Midfulinme.

I would like to suggest to reinstall your driver and install it again in you PC.

Seems like your printer is able to do duplex printing initially and somehow after some time it cannot do any printing. Could it be that it prompted you to install new sofware update?

Another way is to do factory reset.

Under setting menu.

select tools

Scroll down to bottom and do restore to default setting.

CHeck if able to do printing.

Thanks
