Hi All

I just used HP 915 printer driver on Windows 7 for my hp psc 1215 printer; all working - printing and preferences; even have a "grey-scale" preferences now which the original did not have.

Hope this helps; all the best

Great stuff, but... where can I get the driver? Apparently it comes as part and parcel of Windows Update, but only if you plug an HP 915 into your computer. And I don't have a 915 printer!

I've just looked for the HP 915 driver on my computer and I found it without doing a Windows Update...

Maybe this image will help:

Good luck!

Thanks: I do appreciate this. And after a small uphill struggle, I did manage to install the dirver.

At which point my printer was simply wiped off the Devices and Printers screen!!

It's late, so I'll return to the fray tomorrow,

I had this same exact problem with a Laser Jet Pro 451dn when it is installed on my home network. I went through all the routines and I could not find any thing that worked, including this discussion. Then, on a lark, when I reinstalled the Post Script driver again I tried installing it in Dynamic Mode, which means the driver is in a network environment with many printers and can be used on multiple printers. When I print something, the driver searches my network for a compatible printer. It finds the only one, duh, and then it communicated with the printer and validates it. Its a bit of a hassle, but I got rid of the flash and regained the Preferences window. I think the automatic/default install of the Post Script driver just does not hook up with the printer properly over a network.
