Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

On loading updated software, the Twain software HP CJLM477 would not reload.

How do I load it? Have deleted all HP software 5 times and reloaded. Still no difference.

@SteveSurbiton

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are unable to load the twain software. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

Delete the temp files and then reinstall the full feature software.

Go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.

In the HOME page type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.

Click here and download the full feature software.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.

Well thanks for the reply but, HP does not make the world user friendly does it. All that manual deleting recipe for disaster.

I solved it is the end in device manager where I found that the scanner had not been deleted. Deleted the scanner (I had already deleted the printer) and reloaded the fullo software. It woorked.

6 wasted hours, may I charge HP??

Thanks for the reply and glad that you resolved the issue on your own. However, for your other concern with the time spent on this issue.I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forum.
