HP Recommended

I've rea the solutions listed but it seems as though I have a slightly different problem. My desktop Mac communicates with the ENVY - I can print anything from the desktop. It will scan to the the desktop from the desktop but I can't scan to the desktop from the computer - the error message is that there are no computers selected. "Make sure that the software is installed on your computer and that 'scan to computer is enabled'." My iMac is running with OS X El Capitan.

I meant that I can't scan to the desktop from the scanner.
