I switched to a new cable modem/router and the wireless printing feature no longer works. I must have previously set up a static IP address for the printer of 192.168.1.103 to solve a previous problem. When I look at the printer network configuration page it lists the printer's default gateway as 192.168.1.1 which worked with the old router. The new router's address is 192.168.0.1. I can go through the network setup on the printer and it indicates that it is connected to my home network, but when I run the USB to wireless process it fails and indicates the printer is on a different network.
When I type in the printer's 192.168.1.103 address in a browser I get a "can't reach this page" error message so I can't access the printer to reset the static IP address.
I have tried several things and done much research to no avail. I tried to reset the factory settings and reinstall the printer but got the same results.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi @WarBird892,
I'd be happy to help you set the printer up to work with your new cable modem router.
- Right-click the Start button (
) in the lower left corner of the screen, click Search, and then type hp.
- Click USB to Wireless, and then follow the on-screen instructions. At the end of the process you are prompted to remove the USB cable.
- Restart any other computers on the network that use the wireless printer.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, and if it does not provide me with the details of the outcome. Thanks.

Thanks, I have tried that in the past and just tried it again and I get the same error message as before:
"The PC and the printer are connected to different networks(192.168.0.0 and 192.168.1.0). They must be connected to the same network. This can happen when you use the manufacturer's default network name (SSID) and another nearby network is using the same name."
As I mentioned the printer has a static IP address and I am trying to change it so the printer can be on the same network.
Any other thoughts?

Do you have multiple access points? If you have more than one wireless access point the issue could be stemming from there.
What I suggest is to restore the network defaults so the printer will no longer have the static IP configured and you can then run the wireless wizard to reconfigure the printer.
To run the wireless wizard, touch the little icon next to the wrench on the front screen of the printer, then arrow over and select Wireless. In the Wireless menu, look for Wireless Settings, then Wireless Setup Wizard. Once you have reconfigured the printer, delete the printer from your Device and Printers, on the computer and re-add it again.
Please let me know if this works.

I deleted the printer and reran the network wizard on the printer, unfortunately I got the same results. The IP address is 192.168.1.103. I'm not sure by what you meant by "restore network defaults".
I had a little trouble adding the printer back into the system. It didn't find it in its initial scan, nor when it asked for the IP address. It finally found it. Now the printer is listed twice, but there is some good news; now when I right click on the one that is listed as the default printer and choose "printer properties" and then "ports" and then "configure ports" I am able to have that as an option. Previously I was getting an error message that I couldn't get into configure.
Now I can see the port name 192.168.1.103 and the next line is the printer address. Is this something I can now change?
Also on this dialog box is protocol: Raw and LPR, Raw settings, Port number 9100, LPR settings is blank, and SNMP status is unchecked.
I think I'm making progress, but I'm not sure. Please let me know if the dialog box called "Configure Standard TCP/IP Port Monitor" is where I can change the address of the printer.
Thanks again
