In afwachting,

Tonny Guikema

Error code 79 select off/on the power supply already changed, no results, but my black cardrige is also empty, this connections with each other?
Normally I get this meldig not (if a cardrige is blank I get no error code) a test page printing is no problem.

Before I want to order a new black cardrige I like to know if this is even necessary, or the device still works with a new cardrige of euro 135.0-Or the device is in need of replacement?

Hi @Draaivermaak,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips, Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see by your post that you are getting the error message 79. I'll be really glad to help you with this,

Usually a 79 error is caused by a bad print job.  Disconnect the printer from the computer and/or network.  If the client has wireless turn it off for the moment.  Now turn on the printer and see if it comes to ready.  If it does with only the power connected to it, that means a job is trying to print.  Go to all computers that use the printer and delete any jobs in the print queue of each machine.  When done turn the printer back on and when it comes to ready reattach to computer or network.

Hard reset on the printer, router, computer and other devices on the same network.

The following steps temporarily disconnect network and Internet connections and require restarting your computer. Complete any tasks or downloads in progress before continuing.

1. Press the Power button on the printer to turn it off.

2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

3. Disconnect the power cord from the wireless router.

4. Turn off the computer.

5. Wait for 30 seconds.

6. Reconnect the power cord to the wireless router.

7. Wait for 30 seconds, or until the router is fully on and ready

8. Turn the computer back on.

9. Wait for the computer to reload

10. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

11. Turn the printer back on.

Next thing, I would suggest here is to check for the latest firmware update, if available for your printer, using this link.

I hope this helps, let me know how it goes for further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help.
