Hi,
Printing standard Arch D sizes and preset sizes work perfectly fine on my HP T120.
However, whenever I want to test plot something and I set it to 1"x24" or any custom size, it never comes out correctly. I'm using a Macbook Pro Retina 15.
I've tried saving the documents as a PDF in the print size or even a standard 24x36 and then print on the custom size but neither work.
They always come out as 12"x24" instead and the orientation is rotated and scaled down.
What can I do to print custom sizes?

Hi,
When this issue started?
Was it working before El Capitan?
What is the page size set at the application?
What is the page size set on the printe driver?
Are you using the HP driver or AirPrint?

I am having the same problem. Were you able to find a solution to it?
Thanks for your answer.

Gus,
Tryu reinstalling the HP driver.
Additionally, let us know the following
Paper used
Application used
Computer operating system
Model of your printer, if not a T120
Paper size that you want to use
Driver used
Printer firmware
Size of the original file

Hi,
Please follow the below settings:
1. Goto Printer Properties and Select the customer paper size (if require) and save it under Paper/Quality.
2.
Then goto Layout/Output (If you aren't select it, printer didn't given actual printout as well your requirement.) and select Fit to as you previous create custom paper size or you select the paper size under paper/quality.
N.B: One think, "Remove Blank Area" and "Remove Margins Between Pages" both of depnads on paper size. If you are select/use A4/A3/A1/A0 which is not supported with your custom paper size and printer can printer on poster size.
I thnk this topics will help to you.
Thanks,
Rashed

I'm using heavyweight coated paper.
The file was an illustrator file exported as a pdf, then opened in Preview to print.
the paper I want to use is 1"x24"
The file is also as such.
I have tried printing it as 1x24 and also 24x1 but neither work

Hi,
Please make a design which size you want to print into Illustrator (1"x24") but remenber you have make the minimum marzine for the printing area on the media. Because printer required
Margins (top x bottom x left x right)
--------------------------------------
Roll: 5 x 5 x 5 x 5 mm (0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 x 0.2 in)
Sheet: 5 x 17 x 5 x 5 mm (0.2 x 0.67 x 0.2 x 0.2 in)
Minimum line width:
-----------------------
0.04 mm (0.0016 in) (HP-GL/2 addressable)
Guaranteed minimum line width:
----------------------------------
0.07 mm (0.0028 in) (ISO/IEC 13660:2001
I think you may got the poin of view
Thanks,
Rashed
