HP DESKJET D1660 POWER LIGHT JUST KEEPS BLINKING.
TRIED A BUNCH OF STUFF --
CLEARED THE JOB (SPOOLER, REMOVED THE JOB, UNINSTALLED THE DEVICE, REMOVED THE PRINTER).
SO, NO PRINTER ON THE HP PAVILION 20.
POWERED DOWN, POWERED UP, UNPLUGGED EVERYTHING, PLUGGED IT ALL BACK IN.
CAN'T SEEM TO TURN IT OFF.
BEGINNING TO LOOK LIKE A CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT MISHAP THAT HAS CONFUSED THE PRINTER.
I CAN REINSTALL THE DRIVER, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THE PRINTER NEEDS TO RECOGNIZE EITHER CARTRIDGE
'HOME' OR SOMETHING THAT MAY NOT BE SOFTWARE/OS RELATED.
IT'S WEIRD, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE IF I COULD GET THE DEVICE TO TURN OFF, AT LEAST I COULD BEGIN
THE INSTALL/CONFIGURE/PRINT A TEST PAGE PROCESS ANEW.
GOT NUTHIN'.
NEED HELP.
PLEASE ADVISE.

Hey there @MARKH3!
I understand you have a blinking power light issue on the Deskjet D1660. The flashing light can mean many thing. If the light is flashing at a normal rate then that usually indicates its trying to process a print job. If the light is flashing fast then that could mean many different things from a paper jam to out of ink to single cartridge mode etc.
The first thing I would suggest is to plug the printer into the wall directly and not a power surge protector. if for any reason the printer is no longer getting full power it may run into an error. This can be a temporary connection but is a good way to ensure power is not an issue.
I have located a document regarding Blinking Power Light on the HP Deskjet D1660. If you complete the document without a resolution then i would recommend contacting our HP phone support regarding warranty and replacement options.
