Thats crazy, sorry to hear that.
I have both the z3200 and 3100 ps 44" plotters and I had them very close in colour at one time, bu then out of nowhere the z3100 colour shifted printing a huge cyan push.
I thought it was expired ink but the diagnostic prints were all good so the ink was fine. I recently replaced the carriage but then ran into the 58:10 error.
I have two formatters for the z3100 and when I swapped them out I did notice that the colour was different. I also noticed that the carriage did generate a colour profile even though the esp diagnostic failed.
I'm going to try to generate a custom profile on the z3200 and use it on the z3100. If it fixes the colour issue then I'll ignore the esp on the z3100. I'll let you know.

My Z3100 prints sharper, vibrant, unbelievable colors than Z3200. Even it always failed printhead aligment.
2 weeks ago, I replaced with a brand new service station & it prints great.
Z3200 red/mk printheads were much chaper than #70 red/mk , also printhead alignment always pass.
Now I only like to stay with Z3200.
You must do color calibration & printhead algnment.. clean all printheads first, then alignment.

In the link above all of the users have the same problem. If you read both pages of the forum discussion, you will find that everyone has the same error message and ESP test failed.
The other common factor is that in every case this has occured after chainging the carriage belt. Everyone who has taken the carriage out cannot pass the ESP test afterwards.
Is there something HP is not telling us?

I did custom color profile for my glossy canvas sucessfuly, then I printed out with its icc profile. lousy & horrible.
Now I use Z3200 glossy/semi/satin paper with GE on more ink which yield the best colors.
HP Everyday pigment glossy photo paper has the most vibrant, sharp, water resistent & I enjoy it most.
My 2 perfectly working Z3200 from time to time has 58:00 error & I simply power down & on again, error disappeared.
I only buy expired inks for the cheapper price & I doubt any difference with update inks. I do like to buy the up to date printheads, even price somehow higher.
Now, I am working to convert Z2100 to Z3200 . waiting for the last formatter with hd & purge inks.....

Hey there,
I solved my issues. The ESP test still fails but I ignored the test.
I made a custom profile with the extended colour chart (500 colour chips) and when I used this profile all my colours were restored.
The basic colour chart doesn't create an accurate paper profile but the extended colour chart covers all the ranges.
I have both the z3200 and z3100 printing identical colours with exception to the two different reds.
You may have already done this but I if you didn't then give it a shot.
