Deskjet 6122
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP had provided a workaround for using the workhorse Deskjet 6122 printer in a Windows 7 environment (use the Deskjet 990C driver), but Windows 10 appears to have orphaned the 6122 again. Is there any possibility that a similar workaround will appear for Windows 10?

The HP Deskjet PCL3 Class Driver should be a good match for the Deskjet 6122 in Windows 10.

I had no luck until I chose the PCL3 Class Driver2 and set the port as the USB001 then it worked.  Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I've tried the 990c and the PCL3 drivers as well.  Still no printing.

When I chose the PCL3 class driver 2 and the USB port I could make the printer print, so thank you. HOWEVER, the fonts are not printing correctly.  Everything is much wider and broader than it should be.  Any ideas?

HP Recommended

Also used PCL3 class driver and USB port1. But printer printing in wrong format, much wider and broader. Printer still useless.

This worked for me immediately! Thanks so much. :generic:

Bob,

I am seeing problems with fonts as are others.

Have you tried this yourself?

Dave
