I cannot establish a wireless connection for my printer, using a Macbook Pro (osx v10.9). I used to have one until I changed my router and now cannot connect. I have tried the WPS button on the router and by using the initial setup CD that came with the printer but still nothing. Plus. the airport utility on my mac can't find the printer (and yes. the wireless button on my printer is flashing blue and I have checked that I am using the most updated software for the printer)!

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Minim.

You can purchase USB cables at any electronics or office supply store. Ask a store associate what you are connecting with it and you should be able to find what you're looking for.

Hi danking1973

I would like to help you get the wireless setup again. The blue wireless light that is blinking indicates the printer is no longer configured to the wireless network. This printer does not have a wireless wizard build into the front panel instead we would typically connect a USB cable from the printer to the computer and run the setup assistant.

Because you now have Mavericks on the Mac you will no longer have full feature software and drivers therefore, you will no have the setup assistant we need to configure the printer.

At this point one suggestion I can make is to connect a USB cable from the printer to the router. This would give you the ability to print but you would no longer have the scan functionality.

The other suggestion is to use another computer that has the printer software on it, or one that you can install the software on, connect the USB cable to it and configure the printer for the network.

How to configure the printer for wireless using software

Hope this helps.

Thanks for helping.  I eventually managed to find the right cable and it worked.
