Hi @TeamHC,

As I understand you are getting E3 error message on your HP LaserJet 1136 printer. I'll be really glad to help you with this,

Kudos to you for trying out the steps before reaching out to us.

The error usually means that the print cartridge is missing or it is not installed correctly. You have already reseated the toners and have the same results.

Are you using Genuine HP Toner?

Did you just change the toner and started getting this error message?

Make sure all the packing material is removed from the toner.

Make sure there isn't a piece of paper pulled part way in from the paper tray blocking the sensor.

I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

If the issue persists, I would personally suggest the next step would be to perform an advanced reset on the printer as you have already tried changing the cartridges, cleaning the rollers etc.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

Let me know if that helps. Thank you!

Cheers!
