Good Day! Welcome to the HP forums.:) I understand that you require assistance regarding a message about a paper jam on your printer. I will be a delighted to assist you. 🙂
Great effort and fabulous description of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. 🙂 You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you here. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.
- Was there any power outage or surge before the message popped up?
- Have you bypassed power strips?
- Did you try the cleaning the rollers?
This could be a possible hardware issue with the printer. Please try all the prescribed steps from this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-5660-e-All-in-One-Printer-series/6809225/document/c04348...
If it has not been done already.
Then please check again. If the issue does not get resolved, I will be sending you steps to perform a semi full reset to factory settings as a private message. Please keep checking your private messages on HP forums.
That should do the trick for you. If it does not, then please contact HP phone support to get the unit replaced.
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number, Case number and phone number appear.
They will be happy to assist you immediately.
If the unit is under warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty should take care of it for you.

Hi @Khunting,
Please find the steps to perform a semi full reset of the computer.
Support Menu >Resets Menu>Partial Reset
- Press Power button to turn the Printer On.
- Press BL, BL, BL, BL Buttons, in sequence.
- Touch Support Menu.
- Select Reset Menu and Touch OK.
- Select Partial Reset and Touch OK.
- Wait for unit to Power Down/Turn Off.
- Press Power button to turn the Printer On.
BL here stands for the back arrow or the back button which is on the bottom left corner of the printer. If you need to respond to this message, please respond to the post publicly as this message box is not always monitored.
