I just got this printer (HP Envy 7640) about a month ago, and this weekend I tried to print a Google doc that is in landscape orientation on my Chromebook. Since it's a Chromebook, I have the HP printing app to print to the printer wirelessly. When I took out the print from the printer, the landscape doc was printed as portrait; therefore, most of the doc was cut off, and also wasn't printed to the correct scale; it looked like it was zoomed in/blown up. I tried a different landscape doc, and same thing is happening- it isn't printing landscape or to scale size. Anything in portrait orientation is printing fine.

HI.
Since it is the Chrome book , can you able to down load the HP all -in -one Remote apps from the google apps store? It might be able to help you out..
please try it out and let me know again..

Hi,
Thank you for your query to HP forum. I will try my best to help you.
I found a similar answer from HP forum, hope it helps, below is the abstract.
I see that you're having an issue with page orientation when printing from your Chromebook to your HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer. I'd like to explain why you're experiencing this issue and provide a workaround that may resolve this issue for you.
This orientation issue lies within the ePrint feature. The ePrint feature uses the ePrint email server to print, rather than printing directly. When you print from a Chromebook you don't have total control over the print settings. Google Cloud Print has the option for orientation changes, but it is not supported by the ePrint feature that your printer is utilizing. Making orientation changes will not be an option when printing from your Chromebook.
The workaround would be to print from a computer that supports the HP Envy Full Feature Software and Driver package, or to print from a mobile device that's connected to the same network as the printer with the ePrint App installed. The ePrint App allows you to print locally over a network without using the ePrint server.

Hey there! Thank you for using HP Forums.
Could you please try to change the settings (Paper Size & Margins) in the Page Setup and try again ?
You may go to File > Page Setup in the google doc.

Hi, thanks for visiting HP forum. Did you select the print orientation to be landscape in Google cloud print? There is a youtube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwIFxlaczuk
