Officejet Pro X476dw

Got the first printer in August 2014. Never worked properly from the start and struggled trying everything until it was replaced at the end of Nov 2014 with a machine that has (35) in the serial number. From a previous post I read, dated from 21-04-15 I am now concerned!

officejet pro x476dw error 0xc6fd0002

The printer has worked, though required numerous calls to HP to rest etc... However, it has got rapidly worse over the last two weeks to a point where now we have the error code 0xc6fd0002 print head appears to be missing.

Apparently my warranty has now expired, even though my replacement defective machine has failed within 9 months.

HP are going to send me a quote! why am I paying money again for a printer that fails in 9months?

Is there anything that can be done or is it case of HP simply charging me more money for a poor qauilty product it would seem?
