I am having an HP ToolboxFX error upon start up. I have tried the solution that was listed for Vista but I did not have the same directories as Vista on my Windows 7 machine.  Please advise me as to how I can get rid of this startup error.

I have that error problem on my windows 7 machine, I went to the directory  C:\ProgramData\Hewlett-Packard\ToolboxFX\Settings, My problem is there is no setting folder. Now what?

HP Recommended

I can't even get HP ToolboxFX to load.  I am trying to install through the network and the error I keep getting is that it is unable to install and to check the following.. my device and your pc are connected to the network, all the settings you entered are valid, and firewall software is not interfering with your install.

I have a HP Color laserjet cm1312nfi and I'm trying to install ToolboxFX on my new windows 8.1 computer.  My vista computer uses HP Document Manager.  I am printing without any problems, but I can't scan without ToolboxFX.

Any suggestions?

This solution sent to me worked when I deleted the contents of the settings folder.

I don't even have the folder for the toolboxfx.

 I have c: program files/hewlett-packard/hp universal printing.

I have c: program files (x86)/hewlett -packard/hp health check

I have c: program files (x86)/hp/hpcolorlaserjetcm1312 mfp series/ and inside that folder I have default, configure, faxsetup, hppfaxprintercfg, hppfaxprintercfg_win32, hppfaxprinteremail, hppfaxprinterres.dll, hppfaxprintersrv, and uninstall.

Do I need to uninstall all HP products and start over?
