Hi everyone
I am not up with understanding the workings of anything so please be gentle.
I bought a printer 3630 from tesco and some refilled cartridges but since inserting the cartridges I am getting the message Printer in error state and nothing will print.

Hi @Sue1211,
Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you are facing issues with your HP DeskJet 3630 All-in-One Printer wherein the printer stays in error state and nothing will print.
This issue could occur because of the usage of the refill cartridges in the unit.
Hence, I request you to use genuine HP cartridges.
And here's the step by step guide for you in the links below:
1. Used or Counterfeit ink cartridge Detected
2. Which Cartridges Work with My HP Printer?
3. Replacing the Ink Cartridges
Let me know how this works.
You have a good day ahead.

When introducing the Tesco's XL cartridges I answered all the questions that came up correctly but it went into error mode and I couldn't get out of it. I read a remark by another person who said the only way to cancel the error mode would be to replace the Tesco cartridges with HP ones. I went back to Tesco and luckily they refunded me the money and I bought the HP cartridges at a cost of £9 more and I didn't get the black in XL . They were much more exspensive. Anyway the info I had looked up was correct the printer now works again.
I am not happy with that it seems HP has put up a barrier stopping me using a product of my choice.
