Its the two factor authentication on your gmail. Temporariliy turn it off. Then set this up. Then turn it back on. Surprisingly no one at HP seems to get that.

I have tried your steps, however when I go to ongoing mail profile, I get this message "Network connection error. Check network and try again.". this was fine and stopped working all of a sudden. I tried uninstalling and unstalling. I tried all solutions on the web with no success.
