@sheshsr

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Deskjet F4488 All-in-One Printer. and the paper selection light is continuously on,  Power On Light is continuously On. Scanner Light is Blue instead of Green. The printer does not seem to initialize. Not to worry as I have a few suggestions.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Is this a new printer and are you trying to set it up for the first time?
  • And if this printer worked fine before, did any hardware changes take place on the printer post which it stopped working?
  • IS the printer connected via USB or wirelessly?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

Also, if this is a new printer, then check if all the plastic covering and taping has been completely removed from the inside of the printer too.

If the issue persists then please refer to my private message to reset the printer.

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know. Cheers! 🙂
