My OfficeJet Pro HP8600 Plus insists on a paper jam. I cleared a piece of paper from the duplicator and a torn piece behind the paper tray. I've also tried resetting the unit. What more can I do?

Hi @MS602,
Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips, Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand you are getting a false paper jam error message on your HP OfficeJet Printer when there is no paper jam. I'll try my best to help you with this,
Please make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.
Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a hard reset on the printer.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Remove USB cable, if present.
Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.
For further assistance, please follow the steps suggested in the support document for - A 'Paper Jam' Error - Click here
Since there is no firmware update available for your printer, I would suggest the next step would be to perform a Semi-full reset on the printer. I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
Let me know how that goes. Good luck!
Cheers!
