Hi @buckaroo01

I see you are having trouble with HP's Fax Test Service, and I may be able to help you with your faxing troubles.

This seems like a silly question, but are you dialing the full number including the 1? 1-888-hpfaxme (1-888-473-2963)

Do you get a busy signal when faxing to any other numbers?

Is there a special setup for your phone line, such as a prefix you have to dial to get an outside line?

Follow the steps here to run the fax test report.

1) On the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow.
2) Touch Setup.
3) Touch Tools, and then touch Run Fax Test.

The fax test report will let you know if it finds any problems and how to correct them. If you could let me know the results, I may be able to help you further.

You could also review the information in this HP Officejet Pro 8600 - Fax Sending Fails Intermittently or Fails for Only One Recipient.

Or even review HP Officejet Pro 8600 Series Printers - Cannot Send or Receive Faxes

Please let me know the results of the fax test or if these steps resolved your issue.

Thanks,
