Hello,
I asked this exact same question 6 months ago expecting a solution, yet to no avail. So i am re-posting in hopes that someone will be able to see this question and respond.
My HDMI Input does not respond when i press the button on the bottom of my PC. I've read everywhere on solutions to fix this problem of my game mode not working (HDMI Input) for my computer, HP Envy 23-k001a. I reset my PC to factory settings just an hour ago, and the problem still persists. I have contacted HP support but they have only told me to re-install and upgrade my drivers, which i attempted prior to the reset and it still did not solve the issue. I really don't know what to do as I want to play PS4 on my computer.
Any help would be much appreciated,
Many Thanks!

Greetings @aziznator,
Thanks for the post.
I understand that you are unable to use the HDMI IN port on your computer. I also see that you have already contacted HP Support and were suggested to reinstall or update the drivers. I will be glad to assist you. Have you tried different devices with the HDMI IN port?
Recommend you refer to page numbers 20 and 21 in the user guide of your computer for assistance in using the HDMI IN port. Click here for the user guide.
You can refer to this HP Article for assistance in connecting HDMI device to your computer.
Also, as suggested by the HP Support, run HP Support Assistant on your computer to make sure all the drivers are updated on your computer. Click here.
Keep me posted.

Hey @Chimney_83 ,
I have followed that user guide that you suggested, yet the problem does not seem to resolve. Whenever I press the HDMI-IN button, it does not respond even though I have everything set (ie. HDMI plugged in, console connected to a power source, etc.). I have been told by other support members that this problem might be related to a hardware issue, but I believe that can be ruled out because the HDMI input feature seemed to work periodically for a couple of months after being told that, only for the problem to continue once again.
As for the HP Support Assistant application, I have just updated four new drivers, yet all of them seem to have had no effect on the issue at hand. If you require any extra information to help me resolve this issue, please feel free to ask me.
Cheers!

Hey Chimney,
I've tried three different HDMI cables and even different console systems yet the problem does not seem to be resolved. As for the HP My display, I have already tried that method and It still has not seemed to fix the problem for me. Any other suggestions?
Cheers!

Just upgrade HP My Display driver from http://www.portrait.com/dtune/hpw/enu/upgrade.html, it will work for Windows 10.
