Hello @Currimundi ,

Welcome to the HP forum.

I understand that you are being prompted for a user name and password, when trying to access the printers EWS.

I would like to help you with this.

Authentication should not be required. The user guide does not mention it because it should not be there.

It can be setup from within the EWS, but normally technical support will advise against this.

Most times when the authentication has been setup, restoring the network defaults will clear the issue.

Here is the problem. There is no option on that printer to restore the network defaults.

There is also no instructions to reset the printer back to factory defaults.

If you are in warranty, I would call technical support.

They may have a reset or another option.

thanks for your advise,  I contacted tech support and the guy connected remotely , he tried for an hour to find the answer, and in tehe end determined that the printer was faulty, and has arranged a swap unit to be sent out.
