Well I just scanned something in and today it went to the documents/myscans file without my altering anything.  I guess we needed to restart  for it to work.

I was having the same problem.  Someone said that the Dec 2015 update of flashplayer took away the HP solutions center.

 

I don't have the icon for HP office center printer assistant either. So, I went into my programs list (or "apps" with Windows 10) to see if there was anything there about printer management at all, and selected "HP AiO printer remote". Then went in there to set up the software for HP All in One Remote - which I guess I had not done yet, even though the printer was working fine for printing, copies, single scans, etc.  So it said I had to download the Scan and Capture software, which I did.  Then I choose the settings for scan to include multiple pages and 2-sided. And it worked!  Phew! 

 

Some folks say that they preferred the HP Solutions Center software better (I don't have an icon for that and not sure how to get it); it had more options and while the scan and capture software looks prettier, the software isn't as robust. 

 

Something for HP folks to think about!

It worked! Thank you so much. 

 

HP has always had top-notch support.

 

One time I had a printer/scanner that was out from under warranty. I had an open-source image editing program that was not working with the scanner.

 

An HP Technician studied the open-source program and found the solution.
