Hi @jaysangha007,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I see that you are trying to scan multiple pages with your HP Officejet 6830, on Mac OS X 10.10. I am happy to help!
According to this post, Re: hp 6830 scanning abilities, by @ShlomiL. The HP Officejet Pro 6830 does not have Auto ADF Duplex capabilities, but only manual duplex scanning from the HP software, (which will guide you to reinsert the next page).
Please see this guide, Scanning with HP Software in OS X v10.10 Yosemite, for further assistance with scanning.
For future reference, here, is your printer's user guide.
Hope this answers your question, and have a nice day!

The advice given, does not reflect my software to scan multiple pages into a single pdf when using the flatbed rather than the document feeder.
If you select the "Show scan preview" option, then after your first scan, you will see the following screen.
Hovering over the + icon in the bottom left corner, directs you to the Advanced Settings, FILE tab to determine multi-page scanning where I see this.
If the option to "Create a separate file..." is not checked, then back to the first screen displayed above, cliking on the + icon will copy the next page and when done, [Save] will save all pages. You can even deselect pages using the X icon before hitting [Save]
I hope this helps - it sure took me time to work it out
Jack
