I've had the exact same issue as this user...loud clicking noises when it turns on, purchased from Amazon, stuck at initializing.  Tried the power drain, etc.  Nothing works.  Help!  If this isn't a somewhat easy fix, I'm returning this and buying a Brother.

I am having all sorts of problems with mine - gets past initializing but won't move the cartridges or print a report (or anything else).  HELP, mine is less than a year old 😞

Hi @Fawnheights,

I see that you are having issues with the cartridges not moving. I would be happy to help you.

I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

I will send you another step to try in a private message.
In the forum beside your handle name just click on the envelope to view it.

If the issue continues, please Contact HP Support and inquire about a replacement printer. Fill in the model number and the form to receive a case number for quicker assistance.

I've gone through all those tips since you've posted them publicly.  I don't see an envelope by my handle?

Still doesn't work.

I was looking along the left column where my message was.

FYI - The mail icon is next to the log out at the top; but when a user is scrolling along reading all the messages, they aren't going to see the icon because it's at the top.

Hi @Fawnheights,

Correct, at the top right corner is the Username and Logout, the envelope is beside them.

Since the printer is still stuck initializing, the printer will need to be serviced. Please Contact HP Support for further assistance. Fill in the model number and the form to receive a case number for quicker assistance.

Thank You.

Hi @yudhi_pri,

Try updating the firmware by a USB connection if you haven't tried this yet.

If the wireless is still working, access the printer's Embedded Web Server and turn off the IPv6 feature.

Type the IPv4 address for the printer into a web browser. (Internet Explorer)
Once you access the Embedded Web Server for the printer, click the Networking tab.
Click on Advanced in the left side menu.
Uncheck the box for IPv6.
Apply the settings.
