Thanks for becoming a member of the HP Support Forums. I understand you have questions about the EWS screens . I will be glad to help you.

We suggest you not setup the EWS security for home use, as people forget the password and there is no easy way to reset the password.

It does not need to be setup for the printer to work. It is there to stop people on your network from making changes.
