Thank you for the update and the information on what appears to have caused the printing issue. I can understand how frustrating it can be to figure out what is causing the issue. I am having the same problem with a new Deskjet 3510.  I turned off the XP firewall and still a problem

Hi there!

the problem in my HP Deskjet Printer is it doesnt use the Black Ink.

I already replaced the Black Ink Cartridge with a new one,

but still having the same problem.

The Colored Ink Cartridge is working well.

What can i do?
