I've installed the software and found the router, but I keep running into this issue,...  "Printer has not received an IP address from router."  "The printer has joined the network but most likely will not work over the network until it recieves an ip address."

Here's my setup

Latest setup downloaded from HP site

Windows 7

Fios Actiontec (Rev F)

WPA2

Mac not enabled

Windows 7 Firewall (note, I've tried to connect with the firewall both enabled and disabled and this is issue persists either way.)

I did find this thread, regarding a space in the SSID, and I do not have a space in my SSID name..http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Install-Setup/HP-3050-can-t-get-IP-address/m-p/68863...

Did you see this sticky thread at the top of this board?  http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Networking-and-Wireless/Connection-problems-with-Verizon-FIOS-A...

I have indeed followed those instructions, but  the connnection still cannot be established.

Printing out the diagnostics summary everything says "Pass" except "No Filter," it shows as "Fail."

Please help! I'm going insane attempting to resolve this issue.

OK, make sure the firmware on your router is up to date.  Have you contacted Verizon...its their router, right?

Yes, the firmware is up-to-date. There is an update checker built into the software, I checked and it confirmed the firmware is up-to-date at rev 20.19.8.

OK, a couple of more questions:

1. What rev is your router?

2. Have you tried restarting the router (pull power cord momentarily) JUST before installation?

Sorry to take a while to get back to you, it's just been a busy week.

1. The rev is F

2. I tried rebooting right before installation, as you suggested, with no success.

Now the HP configuration page that prints out does not have any line that explictly list an ip address.  Should it? Under the General Information header it lists  "URL(s) for Embedded Web Server  http:0.0.0.0"   That is the closest thing to an ip listed.  Under 802.11 Wireless it lists a Hardware Addess (MAC)

When I checked my routers security log it shows the following at the time I attempted to install the printer,..."WBM user Unknown (0.0.0.0) has changed security settings[repeated 2 times, last time on Dec 18 23:36:18 2011]"

OK, 0.0.0.0 means that it is not communicating with the router at all.  On the front of the printer, in the Wireless menu Restore Network Defaults.

Use this document and follow the instructions under "other than Rev D" http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02986958

Any other suggestions?
