HP Deskjet GT 5820
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have configured my printer with the wireless network, I have assign a static IP and when I print the reports the status is connected and the network is the same as my laptop is connected to. The thing is for some reason I can't stablish connection with the printer to print wirelessly.

Please any advice?

My network configuration is like that:

Printer----Access Point (Sala)----Router(Trojanito)------Internet

My laptop and the printer are connected to "sala"

When I make a ping from my laptop to the printer I don't have packet loss, but I have "Destination Host Unreacheable"

My printer network configuration:

Static IP: 192.168.1.115

Mask: 255.255.255.0

Gateway: 192.168.1.1

Primary DNS: 192.168.1.1

@LFELIPE

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Deskjet GT 5820 printer. I understand that your printer goes offline and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

  • Set the default printer and unpause printing.
  • Reset the printer and check the connection status.
  • Make sure the correct port is selected.
  • Create a manual connection.
  • Reinstall the printer using HP Printer Assistant.

Click here and refer the document to perform the above troubleshooting steps.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.

Hello to everyone,

Finally I solved the problem, what I needed to do is setting the network security to WEP was WPA before. So once I did that i could ping the printer from my PC, and from the router.
