Envy 7640 all in one printer
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Woke up this morning and tried to print something out.  The blue wireless light was flashing and when I went in to the wirless connections options the printer cant find my router.  Every other device in my house is still connected to the router so thats fine.  I've turned the printer and router off and on.  Every other device reconnects to the router but the printer still cant find it.  What has changed overnight?!

Hello, @pilot_dazzla – Hope you are well 🙂

I understand you are having trouble getting the printer connected to the home network. Do not worry, I'm here to help 😉

Try performing a network power drain to fix this issue. To perform a power drain, follow the steps below:

  1. Turn off all the devices connected on your network including the PC, Smartphones, printer, modem (if present) and router. Make sure all the devices in the network are turned off / unplugged.
  2. Wait for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Now turn on the modem if present. Wait till all the lights are steady and idle.
  4. Then turn on the router. Again, wait for a couple of minutes so that the lights are all steady.
  5. Then turn on the printer and other devices.

Now, try the steps below to connect the printer to the network:

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the printer, if it is not already turned on.

  2. On the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon (). The Wireless Summary screen displays.

  3. Touch the Settings icon (), and then touch Wireless Settings.

  4. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard, and then follow the instructions on the control panel to connect the printer to your wireless network.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂
