I have an HP Envy 100. I just installed a new HP color ink cartridge. I am getting an alignment failed message from the printer. The printer says that both the color ink cartridge and the black ink cartridge are completely full. I am using plain white paper. The only color that is printing out on my test page is blue. What do I do to fix this?
Thanks!

When you can't get the cartridges to align like they should, it typically means there is a problem with the ink flow. Most of the time a cartridge cleaning will fix the problem. The document below will walk you through a cartridge cleaning plus a few more steps that should get you back to printing. Let me know what happens.

I cleaned the cartridges twice. The first time the print out didn't look that great for the black, so I chose to do the second cleaning option. The second print out looked pretty good. I tried to do the alignment again, and again got the aligment failed error. This time the print out from the alignment had both black and blue ink on it, but definitely does not look very good even for those two colors. No other colors were on the alignment print out.
Thanks for your help!

The print cartridges were both brand new and HP genuine cartridges (not refilled). I ended up talking to HP on the phone and after cleaning the copper parts in the actual printer (behind where the cartridges go) with a little bit of water and a lint free cloth and doing several alignments, it started printing correctly.
Thanks again for your help!
