Thanks UmutErkal - the 200MM cable worked perfectly for me and easier to fit than I expected.

I can get it to turn on by lifting the top lid and then also the secondary lid under it and then gently put them back down again.

This also worked for me - price is crazy low but it takes a while to arrive. The fact that it is longer than the original doesn't seem to matter.

I believe ALL issues with the HP ENVY 120e All-In-One were caused by the most recent Firmware push. It is beyond coincidence that everyone is experiencing the same problems after the push....

This is just HPs way of making us upgrade our older printers... I do NOT like this type of forced upgrade...

PISS OFF HP!!!!

This issue "Front panel and lights not illuminated" has nothing to do with a Firmware push. Just replace the cable and all will be fixed. I still love my "old" HP Envy 120 printer.

If you don't like the "forced upgrade" then go to Settings - Web Services - Product updates - Automatic Product update and select NO.

How did you disassemble the top panel and front display to get to the ribbon cable?
