HP ENVY 5530
macOS 10.12 Sierra

My HP ENVY 5530 will not connect wirelessly to my MAC OS SIERRA  10.12.4 after upgrading.  Copying works OK, but attempting to scan to computer gives message - " No Comput er Found.  Make sure the printer software is installed on your computer, and that "Scan to Computer" is enabled via the computer software.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you try this:

From the Applications folder delete any existing HP Scan, HP Easy Scan or HP Utilities app.
Delete HP Scan, HP Easy Scan or HP Utilities by moving it to trash, then empty the trash.

Ensure the latest software is installed, use this link for your printer:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-5530-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5304881

Download HP East Start and install the HP Eas Scan and HP Utilities.

Watch this example to get the "Scan to Computer" working.

macOS 10 12 Sierra Enable and Use Scan to Computer on HP Officejet Pro 6970

(Different printer but the steps are the same)

Hope that helps!

I am an HP Employee. Although I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

HP Response is helpful, but the problem is still there. The cause could be my inexperience with computers. Awaiting help from an experienced friend.
